A: Brightsun will pay the visa fee.
Q: I am a British passport holder. How do I get a visa for a stopover in Saudi Arabia?
A: UK passport holders must apply online via https://ksavisa.sa/
Q: I am a Pakistani / Bangladeshi / Indian passport holder living in the UK with a Work Permit, ILR, or Student Visa, and I want to stop in Saudi Arabia. How do I get a visa?
A: If both your UK visa and passport are valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure, you can obtain a visa on arrival upon landing. For more info, click here!
The visa fee is SAR 300 (correct at the time of publishing) and will NOT be subsidised by Brightsun or any Brightsun partners.
Q: I am not a UK passport holder and do not have a Work Permit / ILR etc. How do I get a visa for a stopover in Saudi Arabia?
A: You must contact the Saudi Consulate in your passport-issuing country and apply locally.
Q: If I want to perform Umrah, do I need a special visa?
A: No, there is no additional visa required for performing Umrah.

Arrival in Saudi Arabia

Q: Who meets me at my arrival airport?
A: A representative from Brightsun’s local partner in Saudi Arabia, Kurban Tours, will meet passengers and arrange transfers as per the package.
Q: Can I book a train to Makkah?
A: Train tickets are available 30 days in advance. Therefore, you must book the stopover package at least one month in advance so that we can arrange the train tickets for you.

Accommodation

Q: How do I choose my accommodation?
A: A selection of 4-star or above hotel will be offered 72 hours before arrival if you book more than 7 days before departure. If you book within 72 hours of departure, hotel details will be provided 24 hours before arrival in Saudi Arabia.
Q: What if I would like to extend my stay in Saudi Arabia?
A: Depending on your stopover location (Riyadh / Jeddah / Dammam etc.), extensions start from £100 per night.

Q: What if my flight has a schedule change or delay?
A: Contact our local DMC Kurban Tours or Brightsun travel experts
Q: Can I book my flights with any travel agent?
A: No. Flights must be booked with Brightsun to receive the free stopover package.
Q: Can I travel anywhere to avail the stopover package?
A: Passengers must:
  • Begin their journey in the United Kingdom or Ireland
  • Exit the airport in Saudi Arabia
  • Travel onward to a third country before returning home to the UK or Ireland
